    helpful hosts
    insufficient heating

The hosts were helpful and friendly, providing excellent local dining recommendations and making my solo trip feel much more comfortable.

The heating was inadequate during the night, making it quite chilly in the room despite it being winter.

    vintage feel

It was just a great match for a quick stopover in Stirling with great value-to-price ratio. The room had a charming vintage feel. Make sure to check the heating arrangements ahead of time during colder months.

Liked the place, had a really lovely stay for one night. The staff were very attentive at all times, the rooms was good-sized and beautiful little. The hotel was in a very central location within walking distance of everything. We could drink something at Cronies Restaurant & Bar, located 1 km away.

    comfortable bed
    great location
    breakfast wait

I tell ya what, that bed was comfortable and the shower was surprisingly good for a place like this. Location's real nice too, close to the town. Just wish breakfast was done a bit better, we had to wait ages for it and it wasn't worth the wait. If they could fix that dining situation, it'd be a whole lot better.

    great location
    decent facilities
    friendly host
    uncomfortable bed

The location near Stirling was perfect for exploring. I loved the sizeable room with a fine view. The facilities were pretty decent. The shower was surprisingly good. Check-in was quite stressful. Parking wasn't available right outside, and I had to climb several stairs with my luggage. There was confusion with the door code since I wasn't given a room number. The bed itself was uncomfortable, which affected my sleep. I noticed the WiFi didn't reach my room at all, inconvenient. There were no work desks either. The communication from the staff about breakfast payment needing cash was also lacking, which caught me by surprise. The host was friendly and provided some great local advice when I mentioned my check-in issues, nice.

Historic old building, central location, charming decor in rooms

Rooms tend to be excessively small, which can feel cramped!!! Stairs can be quite challenging, especially with luggage. Attention to detail in room cleanliness could use improvement, such as dusty furniture!!!
